(1) Positioning element and positioning device

Some elements that determine the position of the workpiece in the fixture are called positioning elements, such as support plates, support nails, positioning shafts, keys, etc. Their function is to make a batch of workpieces occupy the same position in the fixture. As long as the positioning base surface of the workpiece is in contact with or matched with the positioning element on the fixture, the workpiece can be positioned. Some fixtures also use a positioning device composed of some parts to position the workpiece

(2) Clamping device

In the fixture, it is composed of power devices (such as cylinders, oil cylinders, etc.), intermediate force transmission mechanisms (such as levers, threaded transmission pairs, inclined wedges, cams, etc.) and clamping elements (such as jaws, pressure wrenches, pressure blocks, etc.) The device is called a clamping device. Their role is to maintain the determined position of the workpiece in the fixture, and to withstand various forces during the processing process without any change

(3) Tool setting and guide elements

In the fixture, the components used to determine the position of the tool used in processing are called tool setting and guiding elements, such as drill sleeves and tool setting blocks. Their role is used to determine the position of the fixture relative to the tool (such as a milling cutter, planer, etc.), or to guide the direction of the tool (such as a drill bit for hole processing, a reamer, a reamer, a pincer, etc.).
